Honestly a great place for AYCE sushi and for $45.99! We came on a Sunday night around 6:30/7:00 pm and there was already a table ready for us, you just need your whole table present to be seated. The seafood was good and came out quickly, we never had to wait too long between putting in our orders. The nigiris had a perfect rice to seafood ratio so it never felt like they were skimping on the seafood! They had a few other variety of dishes as well outside of seafood which is always appreciated. Inside is nice and has a traditional feel to it. I'm already looking forward to my next visit back!

Many people have recommended Ultra Sushi to me, and it's highly regarded as one of the best AYCE sushi places in the bay. I'm happy to say that I felt like it met the hype! The AYCE sushi costs about $45 per person, which I feel is very fair and you can definitely eat enough to make that worth it. I don't drink, but you can also do all you can drink as well. We got tons of different dishes so we could try as many different things as possible. My personal favorite was the hamachi belly nigiri. It had such great texture and fatty flavor that tasted amazing. I also loved the sashimi, especially the salmon, hamachi, and tuna, (you get 5 pieces per order which is great) and some of the rolls. I usually don't love fried rolls but the volcano roll was great! Very good flavor and crispy crunchy texture. I personally didn't love some of the grilled meats, such as pork belly, beef skewer, and steak skewer. The service was also very good and helpful, and I loved the ambience of the restaurant. Great lighting and welcoming atmosphere. I honestly loved my experience at Ultra Sushi and would love to go back sometime soon!

All you can eat sushi? Yes please! With ~$60 per person you get unlimited fish of relatively good quality, small plates, sushi, etc. They ran out of uni the day I visited, so would recommend going early!

Ultra is a very good all you can eat sushi place in San Mateo. The place is popular and crowded. We put our names down on the list and waited for maybe 40 minutes. Once seated, we were offered the menu and the ordering tablet. The menu was quite extensive with lots of options. There were order restrictions on pricier options. The quality of the sushi and the food in general was fresh and delicious. The service was good. It was easy to get the attention of the servers. They were not effusive, but were professional. I thought that they offered a good bang for your bucks. I would happily dine there again.
